WTM Logistics · LTL · Northbound

WTM provides LTL transport for finished manufactured goods moving from Lethbridge producers to Calgary dealers and business customers. The service connects a prepared production release with an agreed freight handoff. Keep model or order references identifiable while quoting the actual cartons, crates or pallets that will travel.

Shared-capacity pallet freight · Agreed unloading · Shipment documents

Release the finished goods as a transport load

The manufacturer should complete its own production and quality-release steps before the pickup window. Confirm what is finished, packed and authorised to leave. A production order marked nearly complete is not yet a collection-ready consignment.

Use shipping references that the dealer recognises. If several product lines share a pallet, make their relationship to the packing list clear. The driver transports the declared load; the manufacturer and dealer reconcile models, serial numbers and commercial order accuracy.

Protect the product and the freight handling points

Describe packaged dimensions, gross weights and stacking limits. Protect finished surfaces, exposed fittings and projecting elements. Crates or pallets should support the load for the proposed handling method, with any special requirements disclosed before collection.

For illustration, a producer might send two skids of boxed finished goods to one Calgary dealer. Label the skids individually and keep the product detail on the packing list. The receiving team can count the freight handoff before performing its own product checks.

Match the dealer’s receiving capability

Ask whether the dealer receives at a warehouse, workshop or storefront. Confirm the dock or forklift availability and state whether tailgate or additional handling is requested. A sales showroom may display large products but lack facilities to unload freight from every type of vehicle.

Use the real delivery address, appointment and contact. If goods are going directly to the dealer’s customer, disclose that different consignee and access arrangement in the quote. A drop-shipment to a customer’s site is not automatically equivalent to the dealer’s normal dock delivery.

Plan the service around the commercial deadline

Routine stock can use the agreed shared-capacity LTL arrangement. A product required for a fixed installation may need a more specific commitment or dedicated movement. Give WTM the useful arrival deadline and let the quotation identify the suitable service.

The WTM freight service supports different load sizes. As order volume grows, discuss the packed capacity and destinations rather than assuming every production release should remain on the same vehicle arrangement.

Manufactured-goods questions

Can several sales orders travel to one Calgary dealer together?

Yes. Keep the order references identifiable and provide the final packed pallet or crate details.

Does the delivery signature approve manufacturing quality?

No. The POD records the handoff. Technical acceptance, warranty and sales matters remain with the manufacturer and customer.

Keep the quote, pallet details and paperwork together

Manage your LTL request, quote approval and payment through the WTM Customer Portal. Track the shipment with real-time GPS visibility and find issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and historical shipments in your account. Update the packed load whenever quantities, dimensions or receiving requirements change.

A funded shipping credit account can provide up to 25% savings on eligible services. Confirm the applicable arrangement with your quote.
