WTM Logistics · Highway 3 connections

Hotshot delivery near Highway 3 succeeds when the receiving instruction is as clear as the urgent deadline. WTM Logistics can arrange direct transport to suitable authorised handoff points along the Lethbridge–Cranbrook corridor, including rural businesses and worksite receivers.

A site name or map pin is a starting point. A complete instruction tells the driver where to approach, who can grant access and how the prepared load will be accepted.

Give the gate, not only the centre of the property

Provide the physical address and the approved entrance. A map pin should mark the usable access point or agreed receiving area rather than the centre of a large property. Add concise written directions where they help distinguish nearby gates.

The Crowsnest Pass municipal access guide describes Highway 3 as the road connection between the Alberta and BC sides. Leaving that main corridor for a final delivery still requires the customer’s actual access instructions.

Use this short handoff checklist

DetailWhat to provide
LocationCivic address, approved entrance and supporting map pin.
AuthorityPerson who has arranged access and the receiving contact.
Vehicle accessKnown surface, turning, clearance or other relevant restrictions.
UnloadingDock, tailgate or receiver-operated equipment included in the plan.
TimingStaffed receiving window and the latest useful arrival.
AlternativeA named, authorised option that WTM must confirm before redirecting.

Keep private gate codes and sensitive instructions within the booking process rather than posting them publicly.

Agree the boundary of the delivery service

Tell WTM whether the handoff is at the gate, yard, workshop or another authorised point. Inside placement and movement beyond the agreed unloading location should be requested explicitly.

A courier vehicle should not be sent toward a restricted, unsuitable or closed approach on the assumption that urgency overrides access conditions. If the original location is unavailable, the customer and WTM need to confirm a workable alternative.

Keep changes with one accountable contact

Nominate a person who can approve an updated entrance or receiving location. Make sure that instruction reaches WTM before the driver follows the old plan. A revised map pin sent only to the supplier does not update the transport booking.

For illustration, a service crew near Jaffray might nominate its staffed yard as the handoff instead of a moving worksite. The driver follows the confirmed yard instruction while the crew controls the final movement to its equipment.

Use tracking to prepare, and POD to close

Live GPS tracking helps the booking contact coordinate the receiver. The POD then records the actual completed handoff. Neither replaces permission to enter the site or the receiving team’s own goods check.

Is a map pin enough to book a rural hotshot?

No. Include a location description, authorised contact, access information, load details and receiving arrangement alongside the pin.

Can the receiver change during the trip?

Contact WTM for confirmation. Changes affecting access, distance, timing or handling should be agreed before the vehicle is redirected.

Send the site-access checklist with your Highway 3 hotshot request and make the final handoff part of the plan.

Stay with the shipment from request to delivery

Request a WTM quote online, approve the agreed service and complete the payment step in your Customer Portal. Follow the shipment with real-time GPS tracking, then use the available delivery record, invoice and shipment history to answer questions after the handoff.

For repeat business, ask about the 10% recurring-shipment offer or the separate funded-credit arrangement with up to 25% off eligible services. WTM confirms which arrangement applies to your quote.
