Hotshot rates between Lethbridge and Cranbrook should reflect the complete direct-dispatch job, not only a distance multiplied by an assumed price. WTM Logistics quotes the load, origin, deadline, vehicle and receiving arrangement that the customer actually needs.

Comparing those details is more useful than treating every urgent box, pallet and crate on the corridor as the same service.

Start with load and vehicle fit

Supply the prepared measurements, weight and package count. Identify enclosure, tailgate or other handling requirements. A small parcel, a dense crate and an awkward long component can lead to different equipment arrangements even when their route is identical.

The price should be compared against the vehicle and service proposed for the load. A quote that excludes the receiving equipment you need is not an equivalent alternative.

Describe the timing on both ends

Give the supplier’s ready time, release deadline and the customer’s receiving window. State whether the request is planned ahead or needs an immediate direct dispatch. After-hours access and receiving arrangements may affect the work that must be coordinated.

Ask how known waiting or additional handling is treated. The purpose is to identify the job’s agreed boundaries, not leave necessary tasks out of the request and discover them later.

Compare the whole transport commitment

Check whether each quote includes the same pickup location, final address, load and delivery service. A collection from a terminal is different from a supplier pickup. Ground-level tailgate delivery is different from a dock handoff. An extra return movement is another task.

For illustration, one proposal might include a crated component delivered to a workshop’s paved ground-level receiving area. Another may assume a forklift unload at a dock. Before judging the prices, resolve that handling difference so the comparison concerns the same job.

Use the right alternative for the deadline

If the order can meet its required arrival on a planned courier service, request that option as well. Hotshot is valuable when the confirmed direct commitment is what the customer needs; it should not be selected just because the shipment contains industrial parts.

For repeat work, share the actual shipment pattern with WTM. A recurring or funded-credit account offer may be relevant under its applicable terms, but it should not be treated as an automatic addition to every quoted urgent run or combined into a single discount.

Can WTM give a quote for one urgent pallet?

Yes. Include the packed pallet dimensions, weight, loading method, receiving access and deadline.

Is the cheapest per-kilometre figure necessarily the lowest complete price?

No. Compare the scope, equipment, included tasks and agreed conditions. A partial price does not describe the full service your receiver needs.
