After-hours hotshot between Lethbridge and Cranbrook works best when supplier release is resolved before normal staff leave. WTM Logistics provides 24/7 dispatch for urgent requests, but the business holding the goods still needs to make an authorised collection possible.
For a repair-critical order, the closing time at the supplier can be as important as the receiving deadline at the destination.
Ask the supplier when staff can hand over the prepared order—not merely when its sales telephone line closes. Counter service, warehouse access and after-hours release may have different arrangements.
Give WTM the closing time and a contact who can authorise the handoff. If a named employee has agreed to stay, confirm the agreed window rather than assume an open-ended wait. That information lets dispatch work with the real opportunity to collect.
Have the person approving the transport quote available. Supplier payment or account authorisation should also be settled so the driver is not sent to collect an order that cannot legally or commercially be released by the seller.
For illustration, a workshop might locate the correct component late in the afternoon while its supplier is preparing to close. The buyer needs to confirm the component, packing, payment and release contact as well as the courier quote. Those tasks can happen in parallel, but none should be left as an assumption.
Ask the destination who will accept delivery and at which entrance. A service technician may be available when the office is closed. Identify that person and any access instruction required for the vehicle.
If unloading needs a forklift or tailgate, include the arrangement before the load is assigned. Having a supervisor answer the telephone is not the same as having the required receiving equipment available.
An urgent late collection can expose a changed package count, missing item or revised release point. Use one authorised contact who can resolve those issues. Instructions to proceed, wait or cancel should come through the confirmed booking channel.
Follow the shipment with GPS tracking and use the delivery record to confirm the handoff. The customer can then coordinate its repair or installation staff based on the actual transport progress.
Yes. Dispatch is available 24/7. Collection and arrival depend on the prepared goods, release arrangements, receiving access and assigned vehicle.
No. The supplier must approve and arrange release. A hotshot booking cannot replace the seller’s access or authorisation requirements.
Tell WTM the supplier’s release deadline as soon as you request the after-hours hotshot.
Use the WTM Customer Portal to request collection and review the proposed service before approving the quote. Pay online, follow the shipment with real-time GPS, and find the available BOL, POD and invoice with the shipment record instead of searching through separate email conversations.
For repeat business, ask about the 10% recurring-shipment offer or the separate funded-credit arrangement with up to 25% off eligible services. WTM confirms which arrangement applies to your quote.
