WTM Logistics · Calgary refrigerated delivery

WTM Logistics arranges temperature-controlled produce deliveries from Calgary suppliers to restaurants and other business receivers. Quote the actual prepared order—cases, trays or totes—with the product-specific transport requirements. A useful produce delivery connects supplier release, suitable vehicle space and a receiving kitchen that knows which order is arriving.

Do not give every produce order the same instruction

A mixed produce list is not a temperature specification. Ask the supplier to identify the conditions required for the products being shipped and to flag incompatible handling needs. State those requirements in the request rather than asking the driver to select a setting from the word “vegetables.”

Provide packed dimensions, weight and any limits on stacking. Cartons containing delicate products may occupy more space than their weight suggests. A quote based only on the supplier invoice total will not describe that space or the loading arrangement.

Build a clear supplier-to-kitchen handoff

Use the purchase-order reference and name the person who can release it. At the restaurant, identify the service entrance, delivery contact and hours for receiving. This is particularly useful when a group operates several restaurants from one purchasing office.

For multiple kitchens, separate each destination's cases. Keep the case count on the transport request consistent with the final supplier release. A change from eight cases to twelve should reach dispatch before loading, especially when the extra packages have different dimensions.

Plan top-ups and routine replenishment differently

A regular produce order can use an agreed collection pattern. A last-minute replacement or additional case has a specific deadline. Tell WTM which problem the delivery needs to solve so the service is quoted around that requirement.

For example, a kitchen may need an extra prepared case before its afternoon prep begins. State that receiving time, when the supplier can release the case and who will accept it. There is no need to turn the request into an entire recurring route when it is a single urgent consignment.

Keep product purchasing separate from transport

WTM transports the prepared shipment; product selection, substitutions and quality acceptance belong to the supplier and buyer. Resolve substitutions before the goods are handed over so the receiving kitchen gets an order it recognises.

After delivery, retain the POD against the purchase-order reference. For repeat work, use the shipment history to review receiving problems or changes in the normal carton count. This provides a practical basis for refining the delivery arrangement without reconstructing every run from memory.

Make repeat refrigerated deliveries easier to manage

WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. Manage requests, quote approvals and online payments in the Customer Portal; follow active shipments with real-time GPS and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Shipment history gives your next order a useful reference.

Prepaid account credit offers up to 25% off eligible services under a separate arrangement. These offers are not automatically combined.
