WTM Logistics can transport prepared instruments between a business and its calibration service provider. A well-organised request links the instrument’s identity, protective case and service reference with the collection and delivery record.
WTM handles the transportation. Calibration, adjustment, technical testing and certification remain the responsibility of the service provider you select.
Arrange the laboratory’s receiving requirements first
Ask the provider which reference should accompany the instrument, when it will accept deliveries and whether it has particular packaging or accessory instructions.
Record the instrument’s asset or serial number in your own service paperwork. Match that record to the outer package and the service reference without putting unnecessary confidential information on the shipping label.
Request a calibration-instrument courier quote with the pickup address, receiving laboratory and packed measurements.
Prepare a complete, protected consignment
Use the manufacturer’s appropriate transport case or other suitable protective packaging. Identify the accessories the laboratory has requested and keep them with the correct instrument.
Tell WTM about fragile items, special handling and any battery or other contents that need review before collection. State the value and any particular transport requirement during quoting rather than assuming a standard parcel description covers every instrument.
The courier’s POD records the delivery handoff; it does not certify calibration status or confirm that a measuring instrument remains within specification.
Treat collection and return as two defined movements
The outward shipment has a confirmed release time at your business. The return depends on when the laboratory has finished its work and prepared the instrument for release.
Share the expected return date for planning, then confirm the actual ready time with the laboratory. Give WTM the return authorisation, case count and person collecting the instrument at your end. A booking should not depend on a guessed service-completion date.
Keep transport records beside the service record
Use the WTM Customer Portal to request each movement, approve its quote and complete payment. Follow progress, then retain the POD and invoice with your internal calibration paperwork.
The shipment history helps find previous movements. Keep the laboratory’s certificate in your own required records; the portal’s transport documentation does not replace that technical document.

Does WTM perform calibration or issue certificates?
