Year-end stock transfers need clear records of what left one branch, what reached another and which shipment connects the two. WTM Logistics can transport prepared cartons between business locations while your team maintains the stock-count and transfer records used in its own inventory process.

Request a year-end transfer courier quote with the origins, destinations, packed goods and required dates. This is a planned movement of counted business stock, distinct from an ordinary shelf-replenishment order.

Decide which stock is moving before collection

Agree the sending and receiving branches and identify the goods allocated to the transfer. Your team should complete its own counting and authorisation before the packages are handed to the courier.

Use a transfer reference that both locations recognise. Include the product list in your internal records and the appropriate paperwork with the shipment. WTM needs the package count and transportation instructions; your inventory system tracks the individual items inside those packages.

Separate the stock-count boundary from the transport time

Tell WTM the dates and receiving windows that matter to the movement. Your business decides how to treat stock in transit within its own inventory process; courier pickup does not by itself determine the accounting treatment.

Keep collection and delivery events recorded accurately rather than changing a shipment date to make a count appear convenient. When a transfer crosses your internal close boundary, the shipment record can help your team identify where the goods were in the process.

Prepare packages for the receiving branch

Label each carton with the destination branch and transfer reference. Measure and weigh the completed packages. Where several branches are sending goods, keep their consignments separate and provide the allocation for each destination.

For illustration, two branches may send counted surplus stock to a central location. That is a multi-origin collection plan, not simply one delivery with a large total quantity. Give WTM each release contact and ready time so the route can be quoted appropriately.

Match the equipment to the prepared transfer

A few suitable cartons can be arranged through courier service. A larger palletised transfer may fit LTL freight or a 5-ton truck. Include the pallet’s full dimensions and the loading and unloading requirements when relevant.

The receiving branch should know when the stock is expected and who will accept it. A closed office during an inventory count needs an authorised handoff plan; the courier should not arrive assuming normal customer-service hours still apply.

Keep transport records beside the transfer record

Use the WTM Customer Portal to request the movement, approve the quote, pay online and follow transportation with real-time GPS. Retrieve the available POD and invoice after the relevant stages, and retain the shipment reference with your branch transfer.

The POD records the delivery handoff. Your receiving team checks item quantities and updates its own stock record. Keeping those tasks distinct makes a later discrepancy easier to investigate without asking the courier document to prove product counts it does not record.

Can WTM collect from several branches?

Yes. Request the complete multi-origin arrangement with package allocations, release contacts and receiving windows.

Can these transfers become recurring work?

Yes. Discuss the actual branch pattern and WTM’s 10% recurring-shipment offer when transfers continue beyond the year-end exercise.

Close the transfer with clear handoffs and usable records. Call 587-316-2639 to plan your WTM branch-stock courier movements.
