Switching business courier providers works best when you transfer a defined delivery task first, then expand the arrangement once the handoffs are clear. WTM Logistics helps Alberta businesses move supplier collections, customer orders and recurring deliveries into a courier relationship supported by online quotes, live tracking and accessible shipment records.

You do not have to reorganise every shipment at once. Start with the work you want handled differently.

Define what you want the new arrangement to improve

Write down the practical problem. Do you need a clearer collection window, better visibility during transport, easier invoice retrieval or one team that can handle both cartons and larger freight?

Be specific about the movement. “Improve deliveries” is difficult to quote. “Collect three times a week from our supplier and deliver to the receiving desk at two branches” gives the new carrier something concrete to plan.

Use actual recent shipments to explain the requirement. Separate the normal orders from exceptions that required an urgent service.

Keep already-booked deliveries identifiable

Before starting with WTM, list the shipments still with your existing provider and who is handling them. Keep their tracking and invoice references until those movements are complete.

Tell your team which new requests go to WTM and when that starts. A collection should not be booked twice because one person used an old procedure while another used the new account.

Send suppliers and receivers the updated instructions relevant to them. They need to know the collection arrangement and contact, not your entire internal decision process.

Choose a representative first shipment

A useful first booking resembles the work you intend to repeat. Provide the actual pickup contact, packed size, destination and deadline. Review the quote and confirm the receiving arrangement.

Follow the movement through the WTM Customer Portal. After delivery, check that you can retrieve the POD and invoice you need. This tests the full workflow—not only whether the parcel moved.

Expand from the first delivery into a routine

Review any practical details that need refining, such as a supplier’s loading entrance or the receiver’s lunch closure. Then discuss the recurring schedule with WTM.

WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. A credit account can also provide up to 25% off eligible services under the applicable offer. Compare the service and total quoted cost rather than choosing from a headline percentage alone.

Keep your new process easy to follow

Use one clear internal instruction: where to request shipping, what details to provide and who approves the quote. WTM’s portal supports requests, quote approval, payments, live GPS and shipment records; it gives the new arrangement a consistent starting point.

Must I move every route to WTM immediately?

No. You can request a quote for a defined route or shipment and discuss additional work as your arrangement develops.

Can WTM handle orders larger than standard parcels?

Yes. Alongside Alberta courier service, WTM provides LTL and larger equipment options for suitable freight.
