A field team may move while the delivery is travelling. Agree a stable handoff point rather than expecting the driver to follow an unannounced change in crew location. Tell dispatch when the receiving point changes so the transport instruction can be updated.
Where the site has no street address, use the exact location details and approved access route—not only the nearest town or a project nickname.
Separate planned equipment rotation from an urgent replacement
A kit moving for tomorrow’s assignment can be scheduled ahead. Equipment needed to continue today’s work should be assessed against that immediate deadline.
Explain which situation applies when requesting the service. WTM can discuss scheduled courier or a direct movement using the coverage network and the shipment’s handling needs. Collection and arrival are separate commitments; both should be clear in the confirmed arrangement.
Keep the receiving team informed
Review the quote, approve it and manage payment through the WTM Customer Portal. Follow the shipment’s milestones and available GPS visibility to coordinate the handoff. After completion, the POD and invoice remain associated with the movement.
Keep your own equipment allocation list so you know which team is responsible for the kit. WTM’s records support the transport history, not the instrument’s operating condition or the quality of collected survey data.
