WTM Logistics can arrange return transport for prepared reusable delivery totes from retailers to their supplier or distribution point. An organised collection gives the containers a defined route back instead of leaving them in several stores until someone happens to have vehicle space.

This is a container-return movement. Product returns, waste disposal and cleaning requirements are separate matters that should not be hidden inside a booking described as empty totes.

Count the totes before collection

Record the number, type and owner reference for each group. Identify lids or other separate components so the receiving supplier can reconcile the returned set.

Keep your own note of damaged or missing containers. Courier proof of delivery records the handoff; it does not automatically close a deposit or container-balance account between retailer and supplier.

Request a tote-return quote with the actual collection locations and destination.

Prepare a stable, transport-ready load

Follow the supplier’s instructions for emptying, cleaning and preparing its containers. Confirm that the load contains the empty totes described in the request, not unreported goods or residues.

Where appropriate for the tote design, prepare nested or stacked groups securely. Give WTM the dimensions and weight of the finished groups, including any pallet. The space occupied by a stack matters even when the individual empty containers are light.

Do not assume a driver will sort mixed containers, clean them or determine their ownership at pickup.

Set a collection point in each store

Nominate where the prepared totes will wait and who can release them. A stockroom, rear receiving door and public entrance offer different handoffs; give the correct location in advance.

For several stores, prepare a stop list with container counts and receiving contacts. The supplier then knows what is expected from each origin rather than receiving one unexplained mixed load.

Coordinate returns with replenishment planning

An outbound product delivery and a tote collection may be discussed together, but the return load must still be included in the quote and vehicle plan. Empty container space should not be treated as an automatic extra service.

For repeating cycles, WTM can discuss a recurring arrangement with 10% off recurring shipments. Use the Customer Portal to review quotes, approve transport and manage payment.

Close the transport record at the supplier

Follow progress and retrieve the POD and invoice once the supplier accepts the return. Match the delivery record with your container list and resolve any count difference directly with the receiving team.

Can totes from several retailers be collected in one programme?

Yes. Provide each address, prepared count and collection window so WTM can quote the complete arrangement.

Can damaged goods be placed inside the returning totes?

Describe any product return separately before booking. A request for empty containers should accurately represent what is being transported.

Keep your containers circulating. Call 587-316-2639 to arrange a WTM tote-return collection.
