WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound
Book a Red Deer to Calgary event kit return with WTM when reusable materials need to get back to your office, agency or equipment provider. The collection should start after the cases have been packed and released by the event team. A defined teardown handoff prevents a finished event from leaving someone responsible for an unplanned drive home with the shipment.

Count cases before people leave the venue
Group banners, demonstration materials, literature and reusable equipment into identified packages. Number the cases and record any separate loose package in the collection list. A count taken before packing is complete may not represent what the driver will actually collect.
Keep hired equipment separate from your own assets when they go to different receivers. One return to the agency and another to a rental company are two delivery tasks, even if both addresses are in Calgary.
Agree who can release the shipment
A venue employee may know where the cases are stored without being authorised to release them. Give WTM a named event contact or an agreed venue representative, along with the exact collection point and available hours.
The collection area may change once the event closes. Confirm loading-bay access, booked move-out slots and whether the goods will be held at a secure desk rather than inside the event room. Never rely solely on the event’s public address.
Match packaging and vehicle size
Measure the transport cases, not the assembled exhibit. Rolled graphics, long display parts and wheeled equipment cases can take more space than a carton count suggests. Identify fragile contents or pieces that must remain upright.
Small kits may suit courier transport. Palletised exhibit crates are better discussed as LTL or a dedicated vehicle, depending on the receiving deadline. WTM can quote the appropriate service without treating every event shipment as a full truckload.
Set a realistic Calgary receiving handoff
An office reopening on Monday may not be ready to receive a Saturday-evening return. Establish who will accept the cases and when. Any holding or later delivery requirement needs to be agreed as part of the arrangement rather than assumed.
After delivery, match the POD to the case count and your equipment register. Shipment history makes it easier to refer to the previous transport job, but the next event still needs updated venue access and package details.
Can WTM collect after the event closes?
Request the specific collection time and provide an authorised person with access to the prepared shipment. After-hours transport must be coordinated at both ends.
Can printed material and equipment travel together?
Yes, when packaged appropriately and accepted for the same movement. List the complete load, including fragile, heavy or awkward cases.
Close the event with a planned return shipment, not a pile of cases waiting for a volunteer driver.
