Courier planning for a product launch starts with stock readiness and authorised release dates, not the number of preorders alone. WTM Logistics can arrange transport for prepared orders once your team identifies what can leave, where it is going and when the receivers need it.

A launch plan should distinguish supplier arrival, packing completion, courier collection and customer delivery. They are connected stages, not one interchangeable date.

Request a launch-delivery proposal with expected volumes, collection points and the destinations you can confirm.

Turn preorder demand into a physical release list

Separate paid or confirmed customer orders from speculative stock quantities. Check which products are physically available and which remain with the manufacturer or supplier.

Identify the orders your team can pack by the planned handoff time. A large order queue does not create a transport-ready shipment until the goods and addresses are ready too.

For mixed baskets containing available and future products, decide the fulfilment approach before booking. Shopify’s split-shipping guidance describes how preorder and available items can result in separate shipments; your delivery communication should reflect the actual arrangement.

Verify addresses close to dispatch

Preorders may have been placed well before the goods arrive. Confirm the customer’s current delivery details, contact and any business receiving requirements before labels are finalised.

Separate branch replenishment, customer parcels and promotional sample orders. They may share a launch date while having different recipients and delivery instructions.

Keep an order reference with each prepared package so the courier release can be reconciled with the correct customer.

Agree a workable release sequence

Give WTM a realistic ready time and the delivery requirement for each group. Identify fixed appointments or essential deadlines separately from preferences.

Where your business chooses staged release, state which orders belong to each stage and update dispatch when the confirmed count changes. Do not rely on an unreviewed estimate from the first launch planning meeting.

For example, wholesale launch kits and individual customer parcels can be planned as distinct movements even when they promote the same product.

Build a change process before the busy day

Nominate one person to communicate final counts, address changes and held orders. Keep goods awaiting approval out of the released pickup area.

If production is late, update the collection plan and customer communication rather than hand the courier incomplete parcels or label unready orders as shipped.

The accepted service arrangement establishes WTM’s delivery commitment; an internal launch calendar does not by itself book transport capacity.

Keep shipment progress and order records connected

Use the WTM Customer Portal for requests, quote approval, payment and available tracking and delivery records. Match each shipment with your launch order list after the handoff.

Businesses expecting continued customer-order deliveries can discuss 10% off recurring shipments beyond the launch period.
