Have the supplier prepare the exact order
Confirm the selected items with the supplier before booking collection. Give WTM the order reference, collection counter and name of the person releasing it.
For a repair involving several small components, keep the order together and identify the total package count. A fitting left at the counter can make a seemingly complete collection useless to the technician.
The supplier and contractor determine the required products. WTM transports the prepared goods under the booking instructions.
Tell us about long or heavy items
A small repair kit is a different courier requirement from lengths of pipe, a large fixture or a substantial boxed assembly. Describe the packed dimensions and weight instead of calling everything “plumbing parts.”
Long items need their actual lengths stated, and fragile components need suitable protective packaging. For larger loads, WTM can assess freight transportation rather than a parcel-sized movement.
Give the technician an agreed receiving point
Identify the building, entrance and person accepting the delivery. The technician may be working inside a unit and unable to answer a general site telephone.
Use an agreed handoff point and include a backup site contact where available. State when the person is present so the delivery arrangement matches the service visit.
When parts are going to a customer address, make sure the customer or site contact knows a courier collection and delivery has been arranged.
Follow the order from collection to receipt
Request the movement through the WTM Customer Portal, approve the quote and complete payment. Once the goods are moving, real-time GPS lets the booking customer follow the delivery.
Afterwards, the POD and invoice help connect the transport to the relevant job. Include the job reference with the shipment information to keep similar supplier collections distinguishable.
Can this be arranged for an urgent service call?
Provide the ready time, supplier location and required arrival time. WTM can assess direct or urgent courier service for that actual request.
