Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · LTL
WTM Logistics returns suitable reusable transport frames, crates and empty equipment cases from Fort St. John to Calgary by LTL. Reusable packaging is still freight: it occupies space, needs secure preparation and must reach the right owner. Quote the actual empty units rather than assuming a return costs little because the valuable equipment has been removed.

Count ownership before combining the returns
Identify the owner and destination of each frame or case. Equipment from several suppliers can leave similar packaging at one FSJ location. Use asset numbers or return references to keep the groups distinguishable before they are loaded together.
Confirm the Calgary address accepting empty packaging. The original equipment destination or sales office may not be the return point. Obtain a receiving contact and any agreed return window.
Measure the prepared empty load
Describe whether crates are assembled, folded, nested or stacked under the owner's instructions. Provide the final outside dimensions and gross weights. The quote should use the transport configuration that will actually be handed over, not the dimensions of a collapsed frame that has not yet been prepared.
Secure loose lids, supports and fasteners with their units. Do not leave accessories unrecorded inside a frame or rely on the driver to decide which pieces belong together. List separate parts where they travel as distinct packages.
Plan handling despite the lighter weight
An empty frame may be lighter than the equipment it carried but still awkward to lift or load. Give both collection and receiving equipment details. Identify protrusions, sharp edges and stacking restrictions so the suitable vehicle arrangement can be assessed.
Some packaging may occupy almost the same floor space empty as full. LTL planning therefore needs dimensions as well as weight. An assumed empty-return discount is not a substitute for an actual quote.
Make the return useful for the next order
Approve the quotation and payment in the Customer Portal, follow real-time GPS and retain the BOL, POD and invoice. The owner can use the delivery record with its own packaging inventory to prepare future shipments.
For a repeat supply arrangement, include returnable packaging in the normal planning discussion with WTM. A planned return may suit LTL, while a frame urgently needed for an immediate equipment release could require dedicated transport. Choose the service according to the real deadline and physical load.
Frequently asked questions
Is an empty transport frame automatically cheap to ship?
No. It still uses vehicle space and handling. Quote its actual prepared dimensions, weight and receiving requirements.
Can returns for different owners travel in one request?
Yes, when every allocation and destination is identified and included in the accepted transport plan.
