A fragile control panel needs a courier booking built around the packed unit, its vulnerable surfaces and the receiving location. WTM Logistics can arrange transportation for a prepared replacement panel or a unit travelling to a repair business, with the service selected around your deadline.

The useful starting point is not simply “electrical parts.” Tell us the panel’s packed dimensions, weight, orientation requirements and whether it is a loose assembly or enclosed in a protective case.

Request a control-panel delivery quote with the collection and receiving contacts.

Protect the panel before the pickup is booked

Ask the supplier or equipment specialist to prepare the panel for the planned journey. A protruding switch, display or connector needs protection that does not rely on a fragile sticker alone.

Use the manufacturer’s transit instructions where available. The specialist should determine suitable internal support, protection for sensitive components and any preparation needed before transport. WTM’s role is to move the declared, prepared shipment—not disconnect installed equipment.

FedEx’s fragile-item packing guidance also emphasises a rigid box and cushioning that prevents movement. Use that as general transport context, not a substitute for the panel manufacturer’s requirements.

Quote the package, not the bare component

A panel that fits on a workbench may occupy much more room once crated or protected. Measure the finished package, including projections, handles or a pallet base.

Explain how the package will be lifted at collection and received at delivery. A compact protected panel may suit a van; a heavier prepared assembly may require 5-ton truck service or unloading equipment. The vehicle decision follows the actual package.

State any required upright position. Share the declared value and special handling requirements with the quote request so the appropriate arrangements can be discussed.

Connect the shipment to the repair or installation job

Give the receiving business the equipment reference, job number and expected contents. Keep associated accessories identified and separate from exposed faces or connectors.

For example, a replacement controller and its cable kit should be described as a complete shipment with an outer-package count. The driver should not have to decide whether an unlabelled bag on the counter belongs to the job.

Identify the workshop entrance or named site receiver. A delivery to a central stores counter is different from a handoff to an installation technician.

Select urgency and keep the records

A planned repair transfer may fit scheduled courier service. An operational deadline may call for dedicated hotshot transport. Provide the actual required arrival time rather than labelling every request “urgent.”

Use the WTM Customer Portal to approve the quote, pay online and follow available live GPS tracking for the active shipment. Retrieve the delivery record and invoice afterwards.

Can a damaged panel be collected for repair?

Describe the damage and current packaging when requesting the quote. The releasing business should prepare it so loose parts or exposed components are not left unsecured.

Move the panel with a clear handoff plan. Call 587-316-2639 to arrange WTM collection.
