A clear order reference prevents the wrong collection
Give the supplier the correct purchasing details and confirm that the order is picked and ready. Pass WTM the release reference, package count and collection contact.
When several contractors are collecting from the same counter, a company name alone may not distinguish your order. Include the purchase order or supplier confirmation and the name under which the goods are held.
For split orders, identify exactly which prepared packages should move now. Remaining items need their own collection arrangement when they become available.
Identify the destination within the project
The building address is only the beginning. Name the site contact and agreed receiving point, such as the material gate or contractor office. Include the time the receiver is available and any instructions needed to reach the handoff.
Avoid putting the full delivery instruction on a label that the driver cannot read until collection. WTM needs the destination and access information when planning the movement.
Describe the goods as they will travel
Tell us whether the order is several small cartons, a long packaged item or a heavier assembly. Keep delicate controls and electronic components in packaging selected for their transport needs.
A boxed fitting order is not the same job as moving cable drums or large switchgear. For bigger loads, WTM can discuss 5-ton truck or freight service rather than forcing the order into a parcel booking.
Connect delivery visibility with site coordination
After the booking is confirmed, real-time GPS tracking helps the person coordinating materials follow the shipment. The named receiver can then be ready for the agreed handoff.
The POD and invoice support the job’s administrative record. Include the project reference in the shipment information so similar deliveries can be distinguished afterwards.
Can parts go directly from the wholesaler to our site?
