A warehouse courier pickup is ready when the goods are packed, the order is released and the driver has the correct collection instructions. Paying for an order or receiving an order confirmation does not always mean it is waiting at the warehouse collection point.

WTM Logistics collects prepared business orders for delivery across its courier service network. Request your warehouse pickup with the warehouse’s release details and the destination that should receive the goods.

Get the reference the warehouse actually uses

Ask the supplier which number identifies the collection: sales order, release number, pickup code or another reference. Include that exact reference in the request rather than assuming your internal purchase order will be recognised at the counter.

Provide the purchasing business name and the name under which the order is held. Where a third party is collecting on your behalf, let the warehouse know WTM will handle the pickup and follow its stated release procedure.

Confirm the physical location

A supplier’s website may show a head office while collections leave from another building. Obtain the dispatch address, unit, loading entrance and contact number. Ask whether parcels are released at a trade counter, a warehouse door or an appointment bay.

Record the collection window separately from general business hours. A customer-service desk staying open until five does not establish that the loading team releases freight until five.

Quote the prepared order accurately

Ask for the final piece count, weight and dimensions. Identify long items, fragile packages or anything that needs particular vehicle space. If the order is palletised, describe it as freight and include loading and destination-unloading requirements.

A courier arriving for two cartons should not discover a pallet because the original request used the word “small.” WTM provides LTL freight and 5-ton truck services when the released order requires them, so the correct equipment can be considered from the start.

Resolve shortages before collection

Decide with the supplier whether an incomplete order can be released. A driver should not choose substitutes or authorise a split order without instructions from the people responsible for the purchase.

For example, a contractor may accept the available components today and leave one backordered item for later. Tell WTM the actual package count being released for this movement. The original order total is not a reliable description of a partially ready shipment.

Connect collection with the receiver’s working day

Provide the receiver’s name, delivery address and required arrival time. Warehouse readiness and destination availability must work together. A parcel collected just before a supplier closes still needs a receiving plan at the other end.

Use the WTM Customer Portal to request and approve the quote, pay online and follow the delivery with real-time GPS. The available POD and invoice give your team a record of the completed movement.

Can WTM collect an order purchased by someone else?

Yes, when the order is properly authorised for release to the arranged courier. Supply the buyer’s details and the warehouse’s collection requirements.

Is an order confirmation enough?

Not necessarily. Obtain confirmation that the goods are ready and the correct release reference before the collection is arranged.

Turn a ready warehouse order into a completed delivery. Call 587-316-2639 with the release details and WTM will quote the movement.
