WTM Logistics can collect prepared business equipment left at a customer’s location and return it to your office, workshop or next authorised destination. A courier arrangement helps recover the item without asking an employee to repeat a journey simply to bring back a case or tool bag.

Start by confirming what the customer has and who is authorised to release it. Clear permission is as important as the address.

Request an equipment-retrieval quote with the item description, access contact and return destination.

Confirm the equipment is located and ready

Ask the customer contact to identify the item and make it available for collection. Provide a description, asset reference or agreed identifying detail so the correct package is released.

For illustration, a service technician may have left a closed tool case in a customer’s maintenance office. The customer locates it, confirms the identity and agrees to hand it to the courier. This is different from sending a driver to search an operational site for unspecified equipment.

Arrange release with the person controlling access

Provide the site contact’s name, direct number and available collection window. Identify the entrance or reception point where the handoff will take place.

Tell the site who is collecting on your behalf. If an authorisation or reference is required, resolve it before dispatch. Avoid relying on the driver to negotiate ownership or release of property with someone who has not agreed to the pickup.

Prepare the equipment for another journey

Have the releasing contact pack or secure the item appropriately. Confirm whether the equipment includes separate cases, cables or accessories and count the packed pieces.

Provide dimensions, weight and any handling needs. Describe batteries, liquids or fragile equipment where applicable. WTM quotes the transportation of prepared items, not unplanned removal, dismantling or repair work.

Choose the useful return destination

The item may need to go back to your workshop, to an equipment store or directly to another authorised employee. Identify where it should go now rather than automatically using the original dispatch address.

For a further customer-site delivery, obtain that site’s receiving instructions too. An extra stop or changed destination should be included in the quote, not added as an assumption after collection.

Keep the recovery visible

Use the WTM Customer Portal to request the shipment, approve the quote and handle payment. Real-time GPS tracking lets your coordinator follow the return. Available PODs and invoices stay with the shipment history.

Businesses that regularly move equipment can discuss a recurring arrangement. Our business courier account guide explains how requests and records stay together.

Can someone else arrange the collection for the equipment owner?

Yes, with the necessary authorisation and clear release instructions. Provide the booking customer’s details and the actual site contacts.

Does the driver check that all tools are inside the case?

Your staff and the releasing contact manage the equipment list. WTM transports the prepared, identified pieces and records the handoff.

Get the equipment back without another staff trip. Call 587-316-2639 to arrange an authorised retrieval.
