Start with the delivery, not the vehicle

A courier request should tell us what must arrive and when. A small carton needed for tomorrow’s appointment has a different service requirement from an envelope needed before an office closes today. The dimensions alone do not decide the priority.

WTM offers scheduled courier transportation and direct options for urgent work. Our guaranteed next-day commitment applies to shipments accepted onto the eligible next-day service. State a same-day arrival requirement explicitly; collecting today does not, by itself, establish delivery today.

Choose the right collection arrangement

For a pickup at your own business, nominate the person holding the goods. For a supplier collection, give its actual release address, order number and authorisation to hand the package to WTM. A supplier’s sales office and collection warehouse may be different places.

Consolidate loose items into transport-ready packages and count them before requesting the quote. Measure the outside of each carton, including protruding packaging, and give its gross weight. Tell us about upright-only items or anything that must not carry another box on top.

Make the Lethbridge handoff clear

A business name is not always a complete delivery instruction. Include the unit, entrance, receiving department and contact number. For a personal parcel, name the person who can accept it and arrange an attended handoff where required.

For example, a supplier could release two cartons for a Lethbridge workshop, with one carton intended for its service department. Labelling both with the shipment reference and identifying the department helps the goods reach the right receiving point without asking the driver to interpret the purchase order.

Compare courier with larger freight only when necessary

A few manageable boxes can suit courier transportation. A heavy skid may be better booked as LTL or with a 5-ton truck. An urgent shipment requiring exclusive direct transport belongs in a hotshot discussion. WTM can match the job to the service instead of forcing every order into one category.

Your quote should identify the route, packages, pickup arrangement and delivery commitment. That gives you a useful basis for comparing options and approving the movement.

Can WTM collect my order from a Calgary supplier?

Yes. Have the supplier confirm the goods are packed and released, then provide its collection contact and reference.

Does a return parcel need its own booking details?

Yes. A Lethbridge collection has its own ready time, receiver and package details, even when it reverses a previous delivery.
