Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · LTL
WTM Logistics provides Calgary to Fort St. John LTL freight for suitable palletised business shipments that do not need an exclusive vehicle. Start the quote with the prepared load's footprint, height and weight, then add the loading and receiving requirements. The number of pallets alone does not describe the space or handling the shipment needs.

Measure what will actually be loaded
Record the length, width and total height of each pallet, including the base and any overhang. Add gross weights and identify non-stackable units. Two pallets can occupy very different amounts of vehicle space when one has a long projection or cannot carry freight above it.
For a worked planning example, two units measuring 48 by 40 inches each occupy about 26.7 square feet of base area before allowing for layout and clearance. That arithmetic describes footprint, not a booking guarantee or a tariff. Vehicle fit still depends on the full load and arrangement.
Choose shared capacity for the right deadline
LTL is a shared-capacity freight service, not another name for a dedicated hotshot. Tell WTM when the pallets are ready in Calgary and when the FSJ receiver needs them. The accepted lane and service establish the delivery commitment.
For a component with an immediate operational deadline, request a hotshot comparison. A single pallet can justify dedicated transport, while several pallets with suitable timing may use LTL. Size and urgency should be considered separately.
Include both handling points in the quote
State what can load the pallets in Calgary and unload them in Fort St. John. A dock, forklift and tailgate arrangement involve different handoffs. Give the actual receiving address, appointment and contact rather than only the city or corporate office.
Describe non-standard bases, fragile tops or handling restrictions before approval. The shipment should arrive on equipment appropriate to the prepared units, not rely on the driver discovering a missing unloading method at the destination.
Keep the paperwork aligned with the pallets
Use your Customer Portal to submit the request, approve the quote and pay online. Follow the freight with real-time GPS and access the issued bill of lading, POD and invoice. Compare those records with the supplier's packing list.
For repeated Calgary purchases, use shipment history as a starting point but update the physical load every time. WTM can discuss recurring freight and applicable account savings without assuming that last month's two standard pallets describe this month's different consignment.
Frequently asked questions
Does one pallet qualify for LTL?
Yes. Provide its full dimensions, weight and handling requirements so WTM can assess the appropriate shared-freight service.
Is the footprint calculation a shipping price?
No. It is a planning measure. The quotation also considers equipment, weight, handling and the accepted service.
