WTM can assess a Calgary-origin freight plan with separately prepared pallet deliveries in Nanton and Claresholm. This suits a supplier serving two commercial receivers along the southern corridor. Each stop needs its own labelled freight, receiving details and unloading plan; a multiple-stop LTL arrangement must be quoted as the full job.

Shared-capacity pallet freight · Agreed unloading · Shipment documents

Build pallets around their destinations

Keep the Nanton freight separate from the Claresholm freight wherever the agreed shipping plan requires independent unloading. Use destination labels and piece counts that remain visible after wrapping. A mixed pallet of loose cartons for two businesses can create handling work that was never included in the quote.

Provide the dimensions and gross weight of every pallet. If the load contains different heights or no-stack restrictions, show those differences. Two pallets are not necessarily two identical freight spaces.

Explain unloading at each receiver

One stop may have a forklift while the other needs tailgate delivery. Identify that distinction in the original request. A vehicle chosen only for the easiest stop may not support the second handoff.

Include entrance, surface and appointment information for both locations. The sequence must fit their actual receiving windows. If one consignee can receive only at a fixed time, discuss that requirement before assuming a particular delivery order.

Compare a multi-stop plan with separate shipments

A combined route may simplify the supplier’s dispatch coordination, but cost and timing still depend on the complete arrangement. Obtain a quote that identifies the stops and requested handling. Compare it with separate shipments using the same freight descriptions and deadlines.

For example, a supplier could release one pallet of shop consumables for Nanton and a separate pallet of fixtures for Claresholm. The receiver at each stop needs to know what is arriving and how it will be unloaded. The driver should not be asked to reallocate stock between buyers during transit.

Keep freight delivery distinct from courier distribution

Smaller boxed orders can use a courier arrangement. Palletised loads need their own capacity and handling assessment. A planned multi-stop LTL movement is also different from a dedicated direct hotshot without intermediate delivery stops.

Changes such as a third drop, an extra pallet or a return collection should be agreed before they are added. WTM can then revise the plan rather than relying on a driver to absorb unquoted work.

Multiple-stop freight questions

Can one destination receive by forklift and another by tailgate?

Yes, when the load and site details support a suitable agreed vehicle arrangement.

Can the load continue to Lethbridge after the two stops?

Include that destination and its freight in the original request so the complete movement can be assessed and quoted.
