WTM Logistics · Courier · Southbound
WTM courier service can move physical packaging proofs, printed samples and presentation mock-ups from Calgary to Lethbridge. When a buyer needs to inspect a finished sample rather than a screen image, transportation should keep the proof protected and connected to its revision reference. Arrange delivery to the person authorised to receive the approval material.

Identify the proof version that is actually travelling
Ask the printer or packaging supplier to label the proof with its project and revision. A design team may have several versions in circulation. A clearly identified physical sample helps the buyer avoid reviewing an outdated print against a newer digital file.
Keep accompanying specifications inside the package. The courier does not judge colour accuracy, construction or compliance with the buyer’s design brief. Its role is to transport the identified consignment to the agreed receiver and provide a delivery record.
Package for edges, finish and shape
Use protection appropriate to the item: a rigid outer package for flat proofs, secure support for a three-dimensional carton mock-up, or a suitable tube for a rolled piece that can safely be rolled. Do not assume every sheet or sample can be bent to fit a standard envelope.
Provide the outer dimensions and weight. Explain any no-stack or keep-flat requirement while requesting the quote. A lightweight model may require more protected space than a dense carton of the same weight, and that difference belongs in the transport request.
Book to the approval meeting’s receiving point
The Lethbridge buyer might receive at its office while the finished production order will later go to a warehouse. Use the sample-review address for this job. Name the department and contact so the proof does not disappear into routine goods receiving.
For illustration, a supplier can send a folded packaging mock-up and two flat print proofs as three numbered pieces under one project reference. The buyer can reconcile the handoff before beginning its own review. Numbering packages does not replace the designer’s internal revision control.
Avoid confusing the sample with the production shipment
This article concerns approval material, not routine carton replenishment. Once a design is approved, a larger packaging order may need LTL transport or the existing food-packaging courier service, depending on the packed load.
If an approval deadline changes, advise WTM before collection. A scheduled courier service and an urgent direct movement should be evaluated against the actual deadline instead of relying on a generic rush label.
Print-proof questions
Can the buyer send the marked proof back to Calgary?
Yes. Book the return with its current packaging, collection contact and destination.
Does a signed POD approve the print job?
No. It records delivery. Artwork and production approval remain with the buyer and supplier.
