Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · Refrigerated hotshot
WTM Logistics moves urgent frozen dough and packaged dessert orders from Calgary to Fort St. John using an appropriate refrigerated hotshot arrangement. When a restaurant or café needs a specific menu item replaced, the transport should connect the supplier's prepared stock with the receiver's freezer capacity and service plan.

Select the order that solves the shortage
Confirm the exact products, pack sizes and quantities before dispatch. If the supplier offers a substitute, the receiving business should approve it directly. Transporting an unapproved flavour, size or formulation quickly does not resolve the original shortage.
Identify whether this is a single urgent line or a mixed replenishment order. The receiver may choose to move the critical cartons first and leave the rest for scheduled supply. WTM can quote that defined shipment without turning a small shortage into an unnecessarily large emergency load.
Keep frozen conditions explicit
Give the supplier's required transport conditions and describe the packages as they will be loaded. Identify insulated containers, non-stackable cartons and any product particularly vulnerable to crushing. Frozen goods should be prepared for the agreed service before collection.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency's transport guidance stresses equipment and conditions appropriate to the food being moved. Use the actual product instructions and agreed monitoring requirements; a GPS map is not evidence that those conditions were maintained.
Plan the freezer handoff in FSJ
Name the staff member accepting the delivery and confirm the receiving location. A restaurant's public entrance may not be where frozen orders should arrive. Include loading access and a receiving window that allows the product to enter the buyer's storage promptly.
Do not treat the shipment as hot prepared-food delivery. This article concerns packaged frozen products travelling under a stated cold-chain instruction. The restaurant remains responsible for its own storage, preparation and use of the delivered goods.
Give the manager a clear transport record
Approve the quote through the Customer Portal, pay online and follow the shipment's GPS position. Let the receiving team use the agreed arrival information to prepare the handoff rather than estimating from an unrelated local courier journey.
Retain the POD with the supplier order and the transport invoice. After the shortage is resolved, assess whether recurring deliveries could prevent the same gap. A regular supply arrangement and a refrigerated hotshot backup perform different jobs, and WTM can support the transportation plan for both.
Frequently asked questions
Can one urgent dessert line be sent without the entire wholesale order?
Yes. Identify the critical cartons and their conditions so WTM can quote the defined urgent shipment.
Is live GPS also a freezer-temperature report?
No. GPS gives location. Agree the required temperature records separately when booking.
