Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · Refrigerated hotshot

WTM Logistics provides temperature-controlled hotshot transportation for prepared replacement flower orders from Calgary to Fort St. John. When an event florist needs an approved replacement shipment, direct transport should preserve both the product conditions and the receiving deadline. Give dispatch the packed order and the florist's instructions, not just the number of bouquets.

Identify the replacement the designer has approved

Confirm the varieties, quantities and package format with the supplier and receiving florist. A substitute should be approved by the customer or designer before release. The transportation team moves the chosen order; it does not decide which flowers fit a design.

Keep the replacement reference connected with the original order so the FSJ team knows what has been changed. Label containers by destination or event when several prepared groups are travelling together.

Use product-specific transport instructions

Flowers are not one uniform temperature category. Ask the supplier to state the required conditions for the actual order and to prepare suitable containers. Identify upright packages, water-containing vessels and any arrangement that cannot tolerate stacking.

Provide the external dimensions of the protected load. Tall arrangements and boxed stems can have very different space requirements, even when the product count is similar. WTM can match refrigerated equipment and handling to the prepared shipment.

Deliver to the staging team, not an uncertain venue desk

The florist may need the order at a workshop, hotel service entrance or agreed event preparation area. Confirm that point and a reachable receiver before dispatch. The public venue name alone may not identify where replacement stock belongs.

State when the flowers must be received for the florist's own preparation. A ceremony start time does not allow for unpacking, checking and installation. The accepted transportation commitment should end before those remaining activities need to begin.

Give the organiser useful visibility

Follow the shipment through the Customer Portal's live GPS view and keep the receiving coordinator informed of the agreed handoff. Confirm any product-condition records needed before approval rather than assuming the location map supplies them.

After delivery, retain the POD and transport invoice with the replacement-order reference. For predictable event supply, discuss planned refrigerated courier service with WTM; dedicated hotshot is the separate option when the replacement deadline requires direct movement. Neither transport option includes floral design or venue setup unless another service has been specifically agreed.

Frequently asked questions

Can the flowers be delivered to an FSJ florist rather than the event venue?

Yes. Use the actual receiving address and preparation deadline in the quote request.

Do all flower orders use the same refrigerated setting?

No. Supply the florist or supplier’s conditions for the specific products and packaging.

Book, approve and follow the shipment
