Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · Freight hotshot
WTM Logistics provides enclosed hotshot transportation from Calgary to Fort St. John for prepared control assemblies and commissioning equipment. When a commissioning team needs a released unit before work can proceed, the transport should preserve the unit's identity, packaging and receiving deadline. Start with the approved assembly rather than a broad request to deliver electronics urgently.

Identify the unit and its revision
Have the supplier and project team confirm the equipment model, configuration and included accessories. Put the project or release reference on the transport paperwork. WTM can collect the approved consignment without asking the driver to choose between different versions at a parts counter.
Where a unit includes software or project data, preparation remains with the responsible supplier or owner. The hotshot service moves the ready equipment; it does not configure controls or validate their suitability for commissioning.
Protect the prepared assembly
Provide packed dimensions, gross weight and instructions for orientation, shock protection and stacking. Use the protective case or crate specified by the owner. Include protruding handles, skid runners and other features affecting the external load size.
Enclosed transport addresses exposure during the journey, but it does not replace suitable packaging. A control cabinet with unprotected connectors or loose parts needs preparation before collection. Tell dispatch what loading and unloading equipment the sender and receiver will provide.
Tie the arrival to the commissioning sequence
State the supplier's ready time and the receiving crew's latest useful delivery time. A unit may need to reach the workshop for checks before it goes to a separate site. Identify that intermediate business activity when choosing the actual delivery address.
A direct hotshot moves the consignment without ordinary shared-load consolidation. Additional supplier pickups or destinations must be included in the agreed plan rather than added informally after confirmation.
Connect transportation with project records
Use the WTM Customer Portal to submit the request, review and approve the quote and make payment. Follow the vehicle with real-time GPS tracking and retrieve the POD once the handoff is complete.
Keep the transport reference with the commissioning release and equipment serial record. The POD confirms delivery, while the project team records its own inspection and commissioning results. For a removed unit going south afterwards, WTM can quote a separate return using its actual packing, condition and release time.
