WTM Logistics · Calgary–Fort McMurray · Northbound
WTM provides LTL transportation for suitable palletised furnishing and room-supply orders from Calgary to Fort McMurray. Flat-packed items, protected fixtures and boxed supplies should be described as their final shipping units. Plan the goods-receiving handoff separately from unpacking or installation inside the property.
Shared-capacity freight options · Pallet-by-pallet quoting · Agreed loading and receiving arrangements
Group the order for the receiving project
Label pallets by the buyer’s room block, phase or purchase reference where that helps allocation. Keep the supplier’s contents list with the receiving team. The carrier’s pallet count does not tell an accommodation manager which rooms each item supports.
List different load types separately. Tall furniture cartons, dense hardware and soft supplies may have different stacking or protection requirements. A uniform pallet count should not hide non-stackable or unusually shaped units.
Measure after the supplier finishes packaging
Provide full length, width, loaded height and gross weight. Include protective edges, crates and any overhang. WTM can use those details to assess appropriate shared capacity and the vehicle opening needed for loading.
Tell dispatch about delicate surfaces and packaging restrictions. The supplier should prepare the freight for the agreed transport. A booking for pallet movement does not automatically include assembling furniture, repacking cartons or removing packaging at the destination.
Arrange the receiving equipment and space
Identify the Fort McMurray goods entrance, authorised contact and unloading method. A property can have passenger access without suitable freight receiving. If there is no dock or forklift, describe the ground-level requirement in the quote request.
The buyer should arrange where the delivered goods will be held and how they will be distributed internally. Delivery to the agreed receiving point is not the same as placing every item inside a guest room or accommodation unit.
Coordinate phased orders with actual readiness
If the project receives materials in phases, give each release its own package list and deadline. Do not ship the next phase merely because the supplier has it ready if the receiving property has no room to accept it.
The portal keeps quotes, invoices and delivery documents together, with GPS visibility during transport. Use the purchase reference to match the POD to the correct phase. Request LTL for the accepted shared load or ask about dedicated transport when timing or the complete order requires exclusive capacity.
Keep the receiving team and accounts connected
Use the WTM Customer Portal to manage the request, quote approval and online payment. GPS visibility supports receiving coordination, while issued BOLs, PODs and invoices provide records for operations and accounts. Access previous shipments without rebuilding the history through email.
Save 10% on recurring shipments under the applicable arrangement. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Ask which offer applies to your quote; the two are not automatically combined.
