A bulky online order does not automatically need pallet freight, but it does need a courier quote based on its dimensions and handling. WTM Logistics helps merchants arrange transportation for prepared orders that take more space than an ordinary carton.

Start with the packed item, the collection conditions and the customer’s receiving access. Weight alone will not describe the job.

Request a bulky-order courier quote before promising a standard delivery option at checkout.

Measure the package as it will travel

Provide length, width, height and weight after the goods are packed. Include separate pieces such as an accessory carton or support base.

For illustration, a large boxed lampshade may be light but occupy substantial space. A compact boxed appliance may be much heavier. Both need an accurate description so WTM can consider the vehicle, handling and loading arrangement rather than treating them as equivalent parcels.

Protect shape as well as contents

Use packaging that supports the item during transportation and prevents loose components from shifting. Identify fragile surfaces or features that require particular care.

Follow the manufacturer’s packing instructions for the product. WTM transports the prepared shipment; the merchant should not assume that the driver will improvise suitable packaging at collection.

Ask the customer about the receiving location

A large parcel may fit the delivery vehicle but still require planning at the destination. Ask about entrance size, stairs, lifts and the agreed handoff point when those details affect the item.

Distinguish delivery to an entrance from inside placement, assembly or removal of packaging. Additional services should be described and agreed rather than hidden behind the simple checkout word “delivery.” WTM’s white-glove transportation information can support a different request when more handling is needed.

Choose the transport service before setting the delivery price

Share the packed dimensions and addresses with WTM. Some orders can move as a suitable courier shipment; others may benefit from a larger vehicle or a freight arrangement.

For multiple cartons, the decision also depends on how they can be handled together. A pallet may suit some shipments, but it is not an automatic requirement created by the word “bulky.” Request the service that fits the actual goods and receiving conditions.

Keep the customer promise connected with the booking

Once the service and price are confirmed, tell your customer the agreed receiving arrangement. Give them the package count and clarify any access information they must provide.

Use the WTM Customer Portal for quote approval, payment and live GPS tracking. Available PODs and invoices remain with shipment history. Merchants arranging regular deliveries can discuss 10% off recurring shipments.

Can one large box be quoted without a pallet?

Yes. Provide its packed size, weight and handling requirements so WTM can assess the appropriate arrangement.

Does a courier quote include assembly at the customer’s home?

Do not assume it does. Specify any additional service and have it agreed separately from the transport handoff.

Price and plan the real order, not a standard-parcel guess. Call 587-316-2639.
