You can arrange a WTM courier collection without being physically at the pickup address. The booking needs three clear roles: the person requesting the transport, the person releasing the goods and the person receiving them.

Give each person the information needed for their part of the movement. A remote booking works when the physical handoffs are planned as carefully as the online request.

Tell WTM who actually has the goods

Provide the sender’s name, collection address, direct telephone number and readiness. State where the goods will be handed over: reception, loading area, workshop or another agreed point.

The collection contact should know which packages are being released and be authorised to hand them over. A booking made remotely does not, by itself, authorise a supplier or colleague to release goods.

Confirm the shipment details with the sender

Ask for the current packed quantity, weight and dimensions. Do not estimate from an old order when you have not seen the goods yourself.

If the sender provides paperwork for document-assisted request entry, review the extracted details. Billing addresses, old destinations or incomplete quantities can still appear in source documents.

Where there are several packages, make sure the collection contact and request describe the same total.

Keep the delivery instruction independent of your location

Your own office address should not appear as the destination unless the goods are actually coming to you. Identify the receiver’s full address, contact and receiving hours.

For example, an operations coordinator in Calgary may arrange a collection in Edmonton for a receiver in Grande Prairie. The coordinator’s location is background information; the physical route is Edmonton to the named Grande Prairie address.

Decide who handles questions during collection

Keep the booking contact reachable for commercial decisions, such as an unexpected change to the order. Give the driver a separate local contact for immediate questions about locating and releasing the goods.

This prevents a situation where the only telephone number belongs to someone who cannot see the packages or explain the collection entrance.

Manage the shipment through your account

Use the WTM Customer Portal to review and approve the quote, make payment and follow real-time GPS. The POD and invoice remain available with your account records afterwards.

Do I need to travel to sign the collection paperwork?

Arrange a suitable releasing contact at the pickup point and tell WTM who that is. The collection requirements are confirmed for the actual shipment.

Can I book repeated collections from the same remote location?

Yes. Discuss the routine and WTM’s 10% recurring-shipment offer, while keeping each order’s details current.

You can coordinate the delivery without making the trip. Send WTM the sender, receiver and shipment details or call 587-316-2639.
