Courier delivery to an appointment-only business needs a confirmed receiving slot as well as a transport booking. WTM Logistics can plan the collection and delivery around the receiver’s instructions when those details are included before the movement is confirmed.
An address answers where the goods go. An appointment answers when the business will accept them—and sometimes which entrance, bay or department must receive them.
Ask the customer for its appointment procedure. Establish who books the slot, whether an appointment reference is required and which order numbers the receiving team expects.
Provide WTM with the receiving date and window, booking reference, contact and delivery access details. Mention whether the slot is already confirmed or still being requested. That prevents a tentative time from being treated as an accepted appointment.
Request a delivery quote with these instructions and the packed shipment details.
The goods need to be ready early enough for the collection and the selected service. Tell dispatch the supplier’s actual release time, not merely the time its office opens.
For example, a receiver may accept an order in a morning appointment while the supplier cannot finish packing it until the previous afternoon. That is a planning question for the entire movement, not a request to drive faster at the destination.
Our time-sensitive delivery service is relevant when the receiving commitment determines the transport plan.
A parcel counter, a loading dock and a site unloading area are different handoffs. Give the package count, packed weights and any unloading requirements with the appointment details.
For a pallet delivery, state whether the receiving site has a forklift or dock. WTM can arrange suitable 5-ton truck service and tailgate delivery where required. Do not assume that a booked bay includes the equipment needed to unload your order.
Review the quote and approve the agreed service through the WTM Customer Portal. When the receiver changes the slot, contact dispatch with the shipment reference so the transport arrangement can be revisited.
Tracking helps the receiving team follow the delivery leg. The POD records the completed handoff, but it does not replace the receiver’s own stock-checking process.
Provide the slot and shipment details before booking. WTM confirms the service arrangement around the actual pickup and receiving requirements.
Ask the receiver for an acceptable alternative and coordinate it with WTM before sending the goods. A driver arriving without an accepted arrangement does not create receiving capacity.
Book the handoff—not just the journey. Call 587-316-2639 or send your appointment details with a WTM courier request.
