WTM Logistics · Shipping questions answered
WTM Logistics can quote delivery of a prepared suitcase or work bag between locations in its coverage. Treat the bag as a separate shipment with its own collection and receiving plan, rather than assuming it will travel on your personal itinerary. Give the contents, packed dimensions, weight and required arrival date before approving the service.

Prepare luggage for transport, not just for a car journey
Inspect handles, zips, wheels and straps. Tell WTM whether the bag will travel inside an outer carton or another agreed protective arrangement. A suitcase designed to be pulled through an airport may have projecting parts that need attention during courier handling.
FedEx’s luggage guide discusses both luggage condition and protective outer packaging. Its luggage acceptance and service rules are specific to FedEx. For WTM, confirm the condition in which your bag will be collected rather than assuming an airline-style baggage tag is sufficient.
Measure the package as it will travel, including its outer protection. List a separate work boot bag, hard case or carton as another piece. The driver and receiver should be able to identify the whole consignment.
Describe the contents honestly
Clothes, papers and ordinary personal belongings are not the same shipment as tools with batteries, aerosols or other regulated contents. Disclose those items before booking so the relevant requirements can be reviewed. Do not rely on the broad description “luggage” to conceal what is inside.
Keep essential travel documents and items you need before delivery under your own control. The shipping plan should not depend on access to a bag that has already left with the carrier.
Choose a receiving address that works with your travel
The recipient may be you, an employer, a family member or another authorised person. Confirm that they can accept the shipment during the agreed window. A booking at a hotel or workplace requires that location’s permission; it is not enough that you expect to be nearby.
For a worker travelling between cities, shipping a packed bag to a staffed office may be more practical than attempting an arrival at an unattended residence. The best address is the one with a clear authorised handoff, not necessarily the address printed on an itinerary.
Compare the complete trip requirement
Decide whether the bag needs a dedicated urgent movement or can use an agreed planned service. A separate shipment can reduce what you carry yourself, but it still needs packaging, release and receiving arrangements. Do not compare a freight quote with a passenger baggage allowance as though the two services include the same work.
Give WTM the actual origin and destination. The service is within WTM’s operating network; a regional luggage quote is not an offer of unrestricted international baggage shipping or customs processing.
Can a family member release the bag for me?
Yes. Identify the authorised collection contact and have the prepared bag ready. The contact should know the expected piece count and collection reference.
Can I arrange a return after my trip?
Request a separate return movement once its location and ready date are known. Do not assume the original vehicle will wait or automatically collect it later.
Request a WTM luggage or work-bag quote with the prepared package and receiving plan. Track the shipment and keep its available delivery record in your Customer Portal.
Arrange the next shipment without losing the paperwork
The WTM Customer Portal keeps shipment requests, quote decisions, online payments and history in one place. Track active deliveries with real-time GPS and find issued bills of lading, PODs and invoices when the shipment is complete.
