WTM Logistics · Shipping questions answered
WTM Logistics can arrange pallet shipping from Edmonton to Fernie, including collection from an authorised supplier and delivery to the receiving business. Use the Edmonton origin, the Fernie destination and the actual pallet dimensions in your request. A Fernie delivery is not the same booking as freight terminating in Cranbrook or Sparwood.

Compare the service against your deadline
LTL is a starting point for a prepared shipment that can use shared vehicle capacity. A dedicated movement is a different option when the deadline or handling requires exclusive transport. Ask WTM to confirm the available service for the full Edmonton-to-Fernie journey.
Do not use a general regional driving estimate as an arrival promise. The freight-ready time, scheduled service, loading and receiving windows all affect the booking. State the date and time by which the receiver genuinely needs the goods.
Describe the pallet rather than only counting it
Include length, width, total height and gross weight, with the pallet base and packaging included. Identify any overhang, projecting parts or non-stackable contents. Two pallets with different shapes should be listed separately.
| Quote detail | Why it helps this delivery |
|---|---|
| Edmonton release address | Identifies the warehouse or shop holding the actual goods |
| Finished pallet dimensions | Shows the vehicle space and handling needed |
| Fernie receiving point | Distinguishes a dock, storefront or project location |
| Required arrival window | Lets dispatch compare the suitable service options |
A Fernie shop receiving boxed seasonal stock has a different unloading task from a workshop receiving one heavy crated machine. Give the commodity description so the equipment and handoff fit the load.
Arrange the supplier collection once the order is ready
Have the Edmonton supplier confirm that payment and release authorisation are complete. Provide the order reference and the contact who can hand over the goods. If the load is split across two warehouses, request both collections rather than treating them as one address.
For a buyer located in Fernie, there is no need to travel to Edmonton solely to meet the courier or freight vehicle. The seller can release the prepared order on the buyer’s behalf under the agreed booking.
Make the last few metres part of the quote
Tell WTM whether the Fernie receiver has a dock or forklift. Tailgate delivery can be arranged for suitable loads, but the accessible unloading point and surface need to be understood. Ground-level delivery does not automatically mean moving a pallet upstairs or unpacking goods inside a store.
If the order is for a project, identify the person and entrance accepting it. A company’s billing office may be unrelated to the site where the materials are needed.
Can WTM ship only one pallet on this route?
Yes. Request a quote for the actual single pallet. Its size, weight, service requirement and site access determine the appropriate transport—not a minimum truckload assumption.
Can the order be collected from a private seller?
Yes, subject to a prepared load and workable loading arrangement. The seller must authorise collection, and the freight request must disclose the actual pickup access.
Send WTM the Edmonton release details and Fernie receiving requirements. Approve the quote, follow the shipment with GPS tracking and retain the issued POD and invoice in your Customer Portal.
