A workstation shipment is more useful when the computer, peripherals and asset information arrive together. WTM provides Calgary-to-Fort-McMurray courier transportation for packed IT equipment and office setup kits. Identify which equipment belongs to each user or department and establish who will receive it before the delivery is arranged.

Pack the workstation as an identifiable assignment

Have the IT team record asset tags and serial numbers in its own register. Use an external shipment reference that connects the packages with that register without exposing passwords, credentials or sensitive configuration information.

A setup may occupy several boxes: computer, screen, mounting hardware and accessories. Record the physical count and package dimensions. Labels such as “workstation A, box 1 of 3” help the receiving team identify a complete allocation without unwrapping unrelated orders.

Use packaging designed for the hardware

Keep screens protected against pressure and movement, and secure accessories so they cannot strike the main unit. The supplier or IT team should prepare the shipment; a courier booking is not an equipment-packing or installation appointment.

Disclose batteries and any special handling instructions. Do not assume an item is accepted merely because it fits into a carton. WTM reviews the packed load and transport requirements before assigning the service and vehicle.

Decide where installation staff will receive it

A central Fort McMurray office, warehouse and operating site may all belong to the same business but require different receiving plans. Give the exact building and entrance, department contact and accepted delivery window.

For a desk rollout, arrange delivery early enough for your own team to inspect and install the equipment. WTM’s POD confirms the handoff; it does not show that a workstation has been configured, tested or issued to the employee.

Separate a planned rollout from an urgent replacement

Routine workstation setups can use a scheduled courier arrangement. A failed device supporting time-sensitive work may call for a direct delivery quote. Describe the operational deadline rather than labelling every IT shipment “urgent.”

The Customer Portal connects the transport request, quote approval, payment and issued records. Use shipment history to find an earlier delivery, but verify that the receiving employee and asset allocation have not changed. Send your complete box count and Fort McMurray department details to obtain the right courier arrangement.

Keep the receiving team and accounts connected

Use the WTM Customer Portal to manage the request, quote approval and online payment. GPS visibility supports receiving coordination, while issued BOLs, PODs and invoices provide records for operations and accounts. Access previous shipments without rebuilding the history through email.

Save 10% on recurring shipments under the applicable arrangement. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Ask which offer applies to your quote; the two are not automatically combined.
