WTM Logistics · Hotshot · Northbound
WTM arranges Lethbridge to Calgary hotshot transport when an urgent component must reach a workshop on a time-sensitive plan. A dedicated movement can keep the transportation aligned with the repairer’s intake deadline instead of a shared freight schedule. Confirm the receiving shop’s availability before making the shipment an emergency on the road.
Dedicated direct transport · 24/7 dispatch · GPS tracking
Find the latest useful workshop arrival
Ask the repairer when the item must arrive for the intended job. The public closing time may be later than the intake cutoff for assessment or repair. Identify the department and person expecting the component, along with the job or repair reference.
State whether the item is going for diagnosis, rebuilding or an agreed exchange. That description helps connect the package to the correct receiver. Transportation can reach the workshop; the repair timetable remains the workshop’s responsibility.
Release a transport-ready component
The sender should disconnect, prepare and pack the item using its own competent personnel. Protect exposed surfaces and support heavy or awkward parts on a suitable base. Give the full packed weight and dimensions, including a crate or skid.
Disclose residual fluids, batteries or any other special transport condition. A previously used component may need different packaging from a new part. WTM’s quote must reflect the item actually being collected, not the manufacturer’s catalogue weight alone.
Confirm loading and receiving equipment
Tell dispatch how the component will enter the vehicle and how the Calgary workshop will unload it. An urgent run can still be delayed by the absence of a forklift, lifting arrangement or accessible receiving door. Match the truck and handoff before collection.
For example, a workshop could agree to receive a crated motor before its technicians finish the shift. WTM quotes the direct trip using the packed load, collection readiness and that receiving deadline. This illustrative arrangement does not promise any particular repair outcome or universal transit duration.
Plan the repaired item as another movement
Once work is completed, the return consignment may have a different weight, packaging or collection point. Arrange it when the workshop confirms readiness. Do not assume the original driver will remain in Calgary waiting for an undefined repair period.
If the deadline permits shared transport after repair, LTL freight may suit the later leg. Keeping the urgent and routine parts of the job separate lets you choose transportation around the actual requirement each time.
Workshop hotshot questions
Can dispatch start as soon as the booking is confirmed?
Yes. WTM begins dispatch immediately after confirmation, with pickup arranged for the actual location and load.
Can the vehicle wait during a short exchange?
Describe the expected wait and return load so WTM can quote that arrangement explicitly before accepting it.
