WTM Logistics · Refrigerated · Southbound
WTM can assess temperature-controlled courier transportation of packaged chocolate from Calgary makers to Lethbridge retailers and event buyers. Give the confectioner’s written transport requirements rather than requesting the coldest possible vehicle. The right arrangement should protect the finished product and its presentation under the producer’s specified conditions.
Refrigerated Sprinters and 5-ton trucks · Product-specific conditions
Use the product instruction, not a generic cold label
Chocolate gift boxes, coated items and other confectionery may have different handling requirements. Ask the producer to specify the appropriate transport range and any restrictions relevant to its particular product. This guide does not assign one temperature to every type of chocolate.
State whether the consignment can travel with other compatible goods or requires a separately arranged movement. WTM reviews the load and conditions before acceptance. Refrigerated equipment availability is not a reason to combine incompatible instructions under one booking.
Protect the retail presentation
Pack gift boxes in a sound outer package with enough support to prevent movement. Specify whether display trays must remain flat, packages cannot be stacked or a decorative presentation requires extra space. Outside dimensions matter more for vehicle planning than the number of chocolates inside.
Provide final carton weights and counts. A selection of retail gift boxes may look light but occupy substantial protected space. Describe fragile packaging or samples intended for photography so WTM can assess the handling requested rather than discover it after arrival.
Deliver to the person preparing the order for sale
A Lethbridge retailer may need the shipment before merchandising or customer pickup. An event buyer may receive at a catering office rather than the venue itself. Establish the actual receiver, address and window before collection.
For illustration, a confectioner can prepare separate cartons for a shop’s regular order and an event’s custom boxes. Label each clearly and quote separate stops if both addresses are required. Do not describe that distribution as a direct one-stop delivery.
Keep food and transport responsibilities clear
CFIA’s preventive-controls guidance discusses appropriate conveyance conditions and contamination prevention. The producer supplies product-specific handling and labelling information; the receiver applies its own acceptance and storage process.
WTM’s available proof of delivery confirms the transport handoff. GPS tracking helps the booking customer follow the journey, but it does not independently establish product temperature or quality. Request any additional reporting while obtaining the quote.
Confectionery courier questions
Does temperature controlled always mean frozen?
No. State the producer’s required conditions; do not substitute a frozen service for them.
Can a single gift order travel by this service?
Provide its packed size, destination and conditions. WTM can assess the actual consignment rather than requiring a full retail-stock load.
Keep the cold-shipment instructions with the request
Use the WTM Customer Portal to submit the load and required conditions, approve your quote and make payment. Follow shipment location with real-time GPS tracking and access issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and history. Any temperature-reporting requirement is agreed separately; location tracking is not a temperature record.
Save 10% on recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Ask WTM which arrangement applies to your quote; the two offers are not combined.
Open the WTM Customer Portal. New customers can request an invitation at admin@wtmlogistics.com.
Book the shipment your business needs moved. Send WTM the route, packed load and required timing for a service-specific quote.
