Count and measure each packed piece
List the number of boxes and their packed dimensions and weight. If they differ, describe each size or group of identical pieces. Do not use the dimensions of the product before it was packed.
For example, a shipment might contain two small cartons and one larger box. Reporting only “three boxes” leaves out information WTM needs to arrange suitable transportation. Reporting the larger box as part of an average can hide its handling requirement.
There is no need to turn the request into a technical freight form. Clear counts and measurements are enough to start an accurate quote.
Make the set recognisable at both ends
Number related boxes, such as “1 of 3,” and apply the same receiver and order reference. Keep labels readable and remove or cover confusing old destination labels on reused cartons.
Close each box securely, protect the contents against movement and do not rely on decorative gift wrapping as the transport packaging. Place any packing list where the receiver can find it without leaving loose paperwork vulnerable to separation.
A numbered set helps the sender release everything and the receiver check the delivery. It also makes an unexpected extra or missing piece easier to identify.
Describe access as well as size
Tell WTM where the boxes will be handed over and where they must be received. An office reception, shop counter and residential entrance involve different arrangements. Include units, contacts and any handling need before the quote is approved.
A few courier boxes are not automatically a household move, furniture delivery or pallet load. Describe the actual shipment so WTM can match the service instead of making assumptions from the word “boxes.”

Keep one destination separate from multiple stops
