A small wholesale order placed online can need a business courier rather than a pallet-freight booking. WTM Logistics transports prepared cartons from wholesalers to shops, workshops and other commercial receivers, with the receiving details and order references that make business delivery work.

The order may begin online, but the handoff still happens at a real door with a person who needs to recognise it.

Request a wholesale-order courier quote with the collection address, customer destination and packed shipment information.

Carry the commercial reference into the delivery

Include the purchase-order or customer reference the receiver uses. A wholesale invoice can involve one customer account but more than one delivery location, so confirm the actual destination rather than relying on billing information.

For illustration, a business may order two cartons of supplies online for a branch workshop. The receiving branch needs its own address, contact and order reference even when head office placed and paid for the order.

Prepare the order as a courier shipment

Pack and label the cartons before collection and provide their dimensions and weight. Keep parcels for different customers in separate destination groups.

A carton-size order should not be described as pallet freight simply because the seller is a wholesaler. Equally, a large or heavy shipment should not be forced into a small-parcel assumption. WTM can quote courier service or a suitable freight arrangement based on the packed goods.

Check commercial receiving details

Ask whether delivery is to a trade counter, receiving desk, workshop or loading area. Include the receiving window and any appointment or reference requirement.

A retail customer may be open all day but only accept stock at certain times. A business park can contain several similarly named units. Clear receiving details reduce the risk of turning a prepared online order into an access problem.

Set the order cutoff around preparation

If customers choose a delivery service online, the promise should reflect when staff can complete the order and when the courier can collect it. Separate the purchase time from the package-ready time.

For urgent replacements, obtain the specific transport commitment before promising an arrival. For routine replenishment, discuss a repeating collection schedule instead of making every order an independent emergency.

Manage transportation alongside your wholesale records

The WTM Customer Portal supports new requests, quote approval, online payments and real-time GPS tracking. Access available PODs, invoices and shipment history when reconciling a customer order.

These transport records complement your wholesale sales and inventory systems. They do not require claiming that every online platform is automatically integrated. Our business-account guide explains the customer workflow.

Save 10% on recurring shipments through WTM’s repeat-delivery offer. Funded credit accounts can receive up to 25% off eligible services under a separate arrangement.

Can one pickup include orders for several business customers?

Yes. Provide the full stop list, labelled parcels and receiving windows for a multi-destination quote.

Can we deliver directly from a supplier warehouse?

Yes. Have the supplier release the prepared orders and give WTM the relevant authorisations and customer receiving details.
