WTM Logistics can arrange courier transportation between a music store and a repair provider for suitably packed instruments, accessories and repair items. The service helps stores coordinate workshop movements without taking a staff member away from customers for a collection trip.

Start with the item, its protective packaging, the repair reference and the receiver’s availability. A boxed accessory and an instrument in a large case are different transportation requests.

Request a music-store repair courier quote with the packed dimensions, weight and declared value.

Give the repair provider a recognisable shipment

Obtain the workshop’s booking or service reference and identify the items included. Keep a list of accessories that are travelling with the instrument, and agree whether the workshop needs each one.

For illustration, a store sending a student’s instrument to a repair specialist can use the service reference on the package rather than unnecessary personal details. The workshop can then match the shipment to its own job record when it arrives.

Prepare the instrument for transportation

Follow the instrument manufacturer’s or repairer’s packing instructions. Use a suitable case and any additional packaging they recommend for the particular movement. Secure accessories so they do not become loose inside the container.

Do not assume that a soft carrying bag provides the protection needed for every courier journey. WTM needs to know the item’s handling requirements when quoting. This is transport of a prepared item, not a promise of professional instrument packing, tuning or repair.

Agree a staffed handoff at both locations

Provide the store contact releasing the package and the repairer receiving it. Specify whether delivery is to a retail counter, workshop entrance or appointment-only location.

Include the latest receiving time and an alternative contact for access questions. A repairer who accepts customers by appointment may not have someone available for an unplanned drop, even if the address is correct.

Make the return a separate confirmed movement

A delivery to the repairer does not establish when the instrument will be ready to come back. Ask the workshop to confirm completion and preparation before requesting the return courier.

Provide the return destination and receiving contact afresh. A repaired item may be returning to another branch or going to an authorised business receiver rather than the original collection point.

Keep transport records alongside the service job

Use the WTM Customer Portal for requests, quote approval and online payment. Follow live GPS tracking and retrieve available PODs and invoices from shipment history.

Music stores making regular workshop transfers can discuss 10% off recurring shipments. WTM’s business courier account can support the transportation routine while the repairer handles technical work.

Can WTM transport large instruments under this parcel arrangement?

Describe the item and its packed size first. Large or particularly handling-sensitive instruments need an appropriate service assessment, not an assumption that a standard parcel quote applies.

Does the delivery record confirm repair quality?

No. It records the transport handoff. Your store and repair provider manage inspection and acceptance of the completed work.
