Use the delivery entrance authorised by the receiving business—not simply the first door visible from the street. A small document may belong at reception, while a carton order may need the goods-receiving bay. WTM Logistics can plan the handoff when those instructions are included in the booking.
Confirm the entrance with the receiver before arranging collection. Request a business courier delivery and include the receiving location, contact and any access restrictions.
Use the department receiving the goods as the starting point. A building’s public address may not identify the service entrance, and the reception team may not be authorised to accept inventory for another department.
Ask for the entrance name, street or side of the building, operating hours and contact method on arrival. A note such as “receiving door on the north side; ask for stores” is more useful than “deliver to building.”
For appointment-only receiving, confirm the appointment arrangement with WTM. Do not assume opening hours guarantee immediate unloading.
A front desk may suit a labelled envelope or manageable carton. Palletised goods require suitable receiving arrangements and a vehicle that fits the task.
Tell WTM whether the destination has a dock, forklift or other unloading provision. Where ground-level unloading is required, discuss 5-ton truck and tailgate service before the vehicle is assigned.
A loading-bay instruction does not automatically include carrying goods through the premises or installation. Specify any agreed inside-delivery requirement as part of the quote so everyone understands where the handoff ends.
Verify that your directions describe the location receiving this order now. A company may have a public office, warehouse and service workshop at different entrances or addresses.
Include a contact who can answer during the delivery window. Share access arrangements through the booking process rather than placing sensitive entry codes on a public shipping label.
For example, a replacement office printer might go to the facilities team, not to a retail counter sharing the same address. The equipment reference and named department help keep the handoff clear.
A closed bay, temporary entrance or changed receiving team can alter the delivery plan. Contact WTM when you learn of the change instead of expecting the driver to resolve it from the old instructions.
Use the WTM Customer Portal to manage the shipment and access its available records. Live GPS tracking helps you follow the movement, while the POD records the completed handoff.
Use the receiver’s authorised arrangement. State whether reception can accept the goods or whether a named department must receive them.
Provide the business name, delivery address, department or suite and a shipment reference. Put detailed access instructions in the booking as well.
