Identify the prepared hardware order
Give WTM the supplier release reference, collection contact and package count. Keep each customer or work-order reference distinct when several jobs are supplied in one collection.
The technician and supplier should confirm the required hardware before collection. The delivery request should identify a ready order, not ask the driver to choose replacement parts at the counter.
Where the goods need special handling or have particular transport restrictions, describe them when requesting the quote.
Agree an authorised receiver
Access-control parts may be intended for a specific technician rather than a general building receptionist. Provide the name and telephone number of the person authorised to receive the goods.
Give the driver an ordinary delivery entrance or agreed meeting point. A courier should not need access codes, customer passwords or instructions for operating a security system to complete a parts handoff.
Keep sensitive operational details out of exterior parcel labels. Use an order reference that lets the authorised receiver identify the job.
Make the timing support the installation visit
State both the supplier’s ready time and the technician’s availability. A component arriving after the installer has left may require another visit, even though the package itself reached the correct building.
WTM can assess direct courier for urgent requirements or scheduled transport for planned service work. The quote should be based on that actual receiving window.
Keep the delivery record with the job
Use the WTM Customer Portal for the request, quote approval and payment. Follow real-time GPS during the movement and retrieve the POD and invoice afterwards.
