A courier can collect a click-and-collect order when the retailer permits an authorised third party to collect it and the order is ready for release. WTM Logistics can arrange the transportation from the agreed collection point to your business, subject to those release arrangements.
Booking the courier and placing the retail order are separate steps. The retailer must know which order to release and to whom.
Read the order confirmation and ask the retailer how a third-party collection should be authorised. Requirements differ, so do not assume a courier can collect an order using only your name.
Provide WTM the order number, collection location and permitted release information. Do not share account passwords or unrelated personal information; arrange the authorisation the retailer actually requires.
Wait for confirmation that the order is ready, rather than using the purchase confirmation as proof of collection readiness.
A store may have separate service desks, warehouse doors or outdoor collection points. Give WTM the location that holds your order and the relevant collection hours.
Tell the retailer that a courier will arrive for an authorised pickup. Keep the person who placed the order reachable if the retailer needs clarification.
The online product image does not establish the transport requirement. Ask about the actual carton count, weights and dimensions, particularly for tools, fixtures or commercial supplies.
WTM can assess the order for business courier service or larger equipment where appropriate. Goods that are too large or heavy for a parcel movement should be described before the vehicle is assigned.
The collection can be delivered to your workplace or another agreed business receiving point. Include the receiver, telephone number and any access instructions.
Use the WTM Customer Portal to submit the request, approve the quote and complete payment. Follow the shipment by real-time GPS and retain the POD and transport invoice afterwards. Your store receipt remains the retailer’s record of the purchase.
Arrange the purchase and release with the retailer before collection. A transport booking should not assume the driver will purchase items or resolve an unpaid order.
Identify exactly which items the retailer will release and whether you want those collected now. Provide the packed details for that collection, not the entire original order.
Have an order ready but no time to collect it? Request a WTM pickup with the retailer’s release details.
